For the days when the weather is warm, but you want a bit of cozy to your home, make an easy summer simmer pot!

Pot full of water, lemon slices, lime slices, fresh mint and fresh rosemary.

A bubbling pot on the stove casually filling your home with the soft aroma of herbs and citrus is the height of coziness during the warm Summer season. A Summer simmer pot is such an easy and quick way to add an inviting touch to your home.

A few springs of herbs and slices of citrus make up this summer simmer pot to provide both a light and fresh scent but still feels peaceful and cozy. Plus you can leave this pot on the stove on low all day and refill occasionally with water.

Cozy Tips for Summer Simmer Pot Ideas

    • You really can't go wrong with whatever herb and citrus mix you pick. You can use mine or make your own.
    • Keep the pot on a low simmer to maximize the scent and longevity of the simmer pot.
    • Fresh herbs work the best for simmer pots, but the lavender can be dried.
    • Add a few flameless candles and some fresh flowers to cozy up your home during the warm months.
    • Take 15 minutes to yourself with a simmer pot bubbling away and make a lavender simple syrup drink, such as my lavender honey latte or lavender ice tea or lemonade!
    • Make this a gift, by placing the simmer pot ingredients into a glass jar with water and tie a string or twine around it with a bottle of rose or white wine!
Tray of lemon, and lime slices, fresh mint and rosemary and a blue pot on a wood table next to a jar of sunflowers.

    Supplies for Summer Simmer Pot

    • Medium Size Pot (This simple white pot looks great in every kitchen)
    • Fresh Herbs (Rosemary, Thyme, Mint or Lavender)
    • Lemons, Limes or Oranges
    • Vanilla Extract ( here is my homemade extract)
    • Water
White tray of lemon slices, lime slices, fresh mint and fresh rosemary.

How Long Will A Simmer Pot Last?

A simmer pot will usually last about a week if you occasionally refill the pot with water. Once the herbs or citrus slices become broken down or scentless, I switch out the ingredients.
